NoritakeNoritake Co., Limited was established in 1904, and is one of the pioneers in the field of ceramic business and is the first company to commercialize “Western tableware” in Japan. Since then we expanded our business to various kinds of ceramics and related products. At present, Noritake has four major businesses in the areas of 1) grinding and polishing tools, 2) fine ceramic materials, 3) engineering equipments and 4) tableware. The advanced technologies derived from our core tableware production are being used in our all businesses. Our business in the field of fine ceramics possesses a wide range of products from traditional to advanced ceramic materials, the products line includes raw materials for ceramics industry, engineering ceramics such as core molds and catalyst carriers, plaster and dental materials. 

Noritake’s products find various applications in the multidisciplinary sectors, such as, in the fields of automotive, aeronautics, energy, chemical engineering, medical, electrics, electronics and so on. We continue our efforts to develop advanced tailor-made products using our core ceramic technology, also for environmental friendly energy devices, such as solar cells and fuel cells. As a part of this, in ICIM2014, we introduce our novel porous ceramic substrates for high performance membranes with high flux, strength and fine pore size control, which find application in gas separation and also in ultra filtration membranes for water treatment.
