Weishen Yang received his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1990. As a visiting scholar, he worked in Birmingham University (UK) in 1989, Institute of Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology, Fraunhofer (Germany) in 1999, and University of Southern California (USA) in 2001. He has been an Assistant (1990), Associate (1993) and Full Professor (1995) in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, Dalian, China.
Professor Yang has published ~ 260 referred journal papers (h-index 40), 3 invited review articles, 5 book chapters and 26 patents on material synthesis with strong emphasis on the rational design and molecular-level engineering of functional nano-materials for applications in catalysis, separation (e.g., inorganic membranes) and fuel cells (e.g., SOFC).
