Andreas Kaiser received a PhD in chemistry/material science in 1994 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Chemistry (Germany) on sol-gel chemistry and powder processing. He worked at Dornier GmbH (Germany) and at the University of St. Andrews (UK) on SOFC, before he joined the group “Materials and Surface Engineering” at Sulzer Innotec AG (Switzerland) as a project manager. Since 2004 he is associate professor at DTU in the “Department Energy Conversion and Storage”. He is (co-)author of 10 patents and more than 40 publications. His main interest is in ceramic processing and characterization of multi-layers for energy devices (SOFC, membranes, electrochemical flue gas filters).
